Payment Queries
Some insurance providers may cover part of the cost, usually under GP consultations. It’s best to check directly with your provider to confirm if our consultations are covered.
We accept credit card payments through our secure online booking system. If you book by phone or email, we kindly ask for full payment at least 72 hours before your consultation. If there are additional charges after your appointment, we’ll email you an invoice.
Processes
In your first consultation, we’ll take the time to get to know you — your health history, current concerns, and goals. It’s a chance for us to explore your overall well-being and dig deeper to find the root causes of any issues, not just focus on symptoms. By the end, you’ll leave with a personalised plan tailored to your unique needs.
Our initial consultations are about 60 minutes, giving us plenty of time to dive into your health history, discuss your concerns, and set long-term wellness goals. Follow-up consultations usually last between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your needs. These sessions help track your progress and adjust your plan to keep you moving forward towards your health goals.
We’re here to complement the care you get from your GP. While we take a deep dive into your health, we’re not a replacement for your own GP when it comes to everyday or urgent concerns. Dr. Farah is a registered GP and can provide prescriptions, but we don’t take enrolled patients. If you’d like, we can keep your GP in the loop with a summary after our consultation — a letter can be sent to your GP on request.
No referral is needed! You can book directly through our website. Once your appointment is confirmed and payment is made, we’ll ask you to complete a pre-consultation form.
The form helps us get a head start on understanding your health journey and what you want to achieve. That way, when we meet, we can focus entirely on your goals. If there’s anything personal you’d prefer to discuss in person, that’s absolutely fine!
Yes, we offer telehealth consultations for clients in New Zealand and overseas. You can easily book online, and if the times don’t suit your time zone, just email us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
We understand that plans change! If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact the Farah Health team directly at least 48 hours before your appointment to avoid a cancellation fee, which is 50% of the consultation cost. Refunds or changes will be processed directly by our team. Please note that cancellations or rescheduling cannot be completed online.
Please allow 4 business days for a repeat prescription. We aim to process it sooner, but it’s best to request in advance. You can check our pricing page for details on prescription fees.

Consultation Queries
It helps to jot down your main health concerns a few days before. Please bring along any recent test results, medical letters, or scans, plus a list of your current medications (including vitamins and supplements). If you’d like us to share your consultation notes with your GP, we’ll need their contact details.
Yes! Dr. Farah is a registered medical practitioner and can provide prescriptions after your consultation. We also offer repeat prescriptions for our existing clients for a small fee. If it has been six months since your last appointment or if there have been changes to your medication during that time, you may be asked to book a follow-up appointment before we can issue your repeat.
